The main reason we wanted to go to Amelia Island was for our favorite gluten free restaurant called Bantam and Biddy. They have the best fried chicken with honey-wasabi dipping sauce. As my sides I ordered fried green tomatoes and fried okra.
After lunch, we drove on the beach for a little while. Savannah does not have places for driving on the beach, so that is another reason we like visiting Amelia Island. The weather was perfect. It was originally supposed to rain, so we were glad it held off.
Before we went home, we decided to do a little thrift shopping. They had excellent shopping in the area, but we did not buy anything. I came close to buying this vintage Burberry coat, but it would have needed alterations, so it was not worth it for the cost.
On Sunday we were back in Savannah. We tried a new restaurant after church, but I was not thrilled with the service, so I did not take any pictures. We will definitely be giving it another try though, since the food was excellent. We also went thrift shopping off of Forsyth. The shop is called The Future on Forsyth and they have great prices.
Just a little photo of one of my favorite buildings off Forsyth. It's so beautiful and is currently for sale, so you can see photos of the interior online. The interior is even more beautiful than the exterior.
Thanks for reading!
Lauren
