Happy 2023!

Saturday, December 31, 2022

Welcome to 2023! I genuinely feel like 2022 flew by. It was a very exciting year that ended with my husband and I purchasing our first home. I wanted to say thank you to everyone who reads my blog. I love blogging and want to make more time for it in 2023, which leads in to my goals for the year!

- I would love to give more time to my church. They do so much for the community and I plan to give more time this year.
-Dedicate more time to blogging. I think this will be easy to do.
-Reach my fitness goals for this year. One of those includes my sister and I starting a new-to-us workout routine this year.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to sharing more this new year!

Christmas in Savannah 2022

Thursday, December 29, 2022

I hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas. I wanted to share with you all a compilation of Christmas photos from the past couple weeks. I had so much fun walking around downtown and seeing all of the Christmas decor. I was also a guest at one of the most beautiful Christmas parties. It was at a hotel in downtown Savannah and we had a fantastic view of the city.

I hope you all had a merry Christmas!

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16

Friendsgiving Recap

Wednesday, December 7, 2022

It has been a busy few months for us, we are enjoying settling in to our home and were able to celebrate Friendsgiving a couple weeks ago. I did not take too many photos because we were so busy, but I will share with you all of the details!

We do not have a dining room table yet so we used a folding table and miscellaneous chairs we had, as well as wood folding chairs. I purchased this tablecloth on Amazon and I love it because I can use it any time of the year. I also purchased these napkins for the place setting. The price is fantastic for a set of 12 and the quality is great. The plates are a set I found at Goodwill. They were originally purchased for my sister's graduation party, but glass is great for any occasion. The other dining details are vintage finds.

We used my bar cart to hold the punch bowl and cups. My bar cart is old from Target, however Walmart has a near identical one on sale found here. The punch bowl is also vintage, but I found these great cups hooks here. I also found the perfect matching ladle here. For drinking glasses we used these modern wine glasses and these ridged champagne glasses.

Typically for Friendsgiving since it is a little bigger than a typical dinner with friends, we ask everyone to bring one of their favorite Thanksgiving dishes over. For our dish we made a gluten free turkey dressing based from a family recipe. I did not take a picture of it, but it is my favorite Thanksgiving dish. We also found some fun cookies and desserts for everyone. For the main drink we made a cranberry punch. Here are the ingredients:
  • Cranberry Juice Cocktail
  • Ginger Ale
  • Frozen Fresh Cranberries
  • Dried Oranges (took around 3 hours to dry)
  • Sugar (if needed depending upon preference)
For my Friendsgiving outfit I wore an old Banjanan dress, orangish-red toned lipstick, and a pair of old Tory Burch flats. We had so much fun and played board games after dinner.
