travel bag

Thinking about Spring coming up has me daydreaming of where I want to travel this year. Spring is a relative term here since today it was 65 and gorgeous out, but it's the principle haha. When I travel, I definitely prefer to dress on the comfier side. I am totally lusting after this sweater by Tory Burch. It is so cute with that bright red color and looks so comfortable. Next on the outfit would be these adorable joggers.  I actually tried them on in-store and they were so soft. Lastly, with the outfit are these sneakers. I wear them everywhere and have not had any blisters and stay comfortable all day. Some people say that they run slightly large, however I ordered my regular size and they fit perfectly.

In terms of bags when I travel, I love my Longchamp bag. My large one has been perfect for traveling, and easily fits everything I need.  This inititaled bag would be perfect to keep cosmetics and such in while traveling. I also keep a water bottle like this one on me at all times. Honestly, it's easy to forget to drink water, especially when you are busy and carrying one at all times helps me remember. Not that I need any more water bottles, however this is the one currently on my wish list.

Next on the list is skincare while traveling! I take my Calrisonic everywhere I go. I have always struggled with acne and it has given me the clearest skin of my life. Also while traveling, it is SO SO important to moisturize. Especially if you are flying somewhere. This all in one skin balm is easy to travel with because it has several uses combined.

Lastly, on my travel necessities is a good book! I love reading and am trying to devote more time to it. To put it in perspective how much I love it, when the 7th Harry Potter book came out, I finished it in a day. Currently, I am reading the first Game of Thrones book in honor of the last season premiering.

Let me know what your travel essentials are!

My Favorite Blazer

blazer | top | jeans | shoes

First outfit post of 2019 woohoo! To start with, I bought this blazer summer of 2018 for presentations and to share a professional outfit with you all since I know many of you, like me, are in school/starting to apply for big girl jobs. I never got around to sharing it, however I did wear it for a few presentations and loved it. I purchased it from Target (I think for about $24 on sale). My only complaint is that even though I love the linen, it is SO HARD to keep is ironed. I have ironed and steamed this sucker and keep it hanging at all times and cannot get some of the wrinkles out (if you have any suggestions please share!) Otherwise I am so in love with it, and prefer love the rolled sleeves look for a more laid back appearance. I hope everyone is having an amazing start to 2019!

Happy 2019!

I wanted to pop in today for a quick Happy New Years!! I am so excited to start this new year with you guys and cannot wait to continue sharing with you all. In honor of 2019 I want to share with you all 9 things I would like to do this year:

1) Travel somewhere new
2) Drink more water
3) Run 4-5 times a week
4) Blog more often. I have so many ideas in terms of outfits, places to visit in Savannah, etc.
5) Work smarter, not harder (and manage time better)
6) (fingers crossed) Have my research paper published and/or submitted successfully to a research convention
7) Watch less TV; I love TV (i.e. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), however it is such a time suck and I would like to use my time more wisely, such as reading a book or drawing/painting.
8) Wear better things than just a favorite t-shirt and leggings to class
9) Spend more time with my favorite people

Thank you to everyone for your continued readership and I look forward to the new year!
