Recap: Washington D.C. Adventure

Monday, November 27, 2017

Happy Monday everyone! These are some of the snaps from my trip to Washington D.C. for Thanksgiving. The trip was so much fun!! I went with my boyfriend and his family. It was my first time spending Thanksgiving away from my family and I missed them a ton, but the trip was still amazing.

Sean and I both wake up really early, so we started off most of our mornings walking to different coffee shops. It was very different from Savannah, since you could walk to most places from our apartment.

A lot of the days, we chose to tour some of the museums at and around the mall. I am not sure how many of you know this however, almost all of those museums are free to visit! I loved seeing all of the museums, but I think my favorite things were the art museums and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The trip was incredible and I am so glad I can share some of it with you!

My Favorite Denim Jacket

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! I am currently in Washington D.C. as I write this post. My trip has been tons of fun and I have taken lot's of photos that I can't wait to share with you all. The photos in this post were taken in Savannah f.y.i.

I wanted to share with you guys this jacket that I have been layering with just about everything. Here in D.C. the weather has been considerably colder than in Savannah (even though it hasn't actually been too cold), so I have been wearing this almost every day with different pieces. However, I have been looking for both a longer one, and one with patches as well.

I hope everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving and I would love if you guys left in the comments your favorite food/traditions! Mine is every year I make my grandma's lemonade pie (I can give you guys the recipe if you want!)

Holiday Gift Giving with JORD Watches

JORD watch c/o | Boots | Skirt: old J. Crew (similar here) | Top:old  J. Crew (similar here)

It's Friday!! Friday is my favorite day of the week. I usually don't have any class, so I spend the day studying, getting blog photos, and hanging out with my family. This Friday is a little different because I am traveling for Thanksgiving. It's a surprise where I am going, so I won't say yet, however rest assured, I will get tons of photos to share with you guys!

Now, onto the blog post! To me, for the holidays, one of the hardest things is to figure out gifts for everyone. My boyfriend is particularly difficult, because he will never tell me what he wants. This season, I found the perfect gift for all boyfriends, fathers, brothers, etc! JORD watches! My dad, grandpa, and Sean all love watches. They are such a timeless gift and SO practical. Right now, they are having an amazing deal, using this link, you can receive 25% off your purchase. They also have engraving (I had this watch engraved). The quality of their watches is absolutely stunning and they are extremely lightweight. I highly recommend a JORD watch this season!

On another note, this is my outfit for Thanksgiving this year! I bought these boots from Steve Madden on sale and I love them! I will be wearing them during my whole vacation this week. My skirt and top are older from J. Crew, however I was able to find similar here and similar here.

I hope you all enjoyed and I can't wait to see what everyone is doing for Thanksgiving!

December Wish List

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

Good morning everyone! It's a little early, however I wanted to share with you all my December Wish List. Crossbody bags are my favorite and this crossbody bag caught my eye. I love that it's simple and neutral, so it could be worn with a lot of outfits.

For Christmas, my parents or grandparents have been getting me a new coat each year. This one is my current favorite and it was recommended to me by another blogger. I love that it is so different from any of the other coats I own.

This scarf is only $24!! It looks so warm and I will definitely be getting it!

The truth about this Kendra Scott necklace is I actually already own it, however it would make such a good Christmas gift. I have that exact color and I wear mine with everything.

Last, but not least, this dress is perfect for fall. I love the simple shape, and the gingham actually makes it perfect for spring too, which I love!

I hope you guys enjoyed!
xoxo

Evenings on Tybee

Friday, November 3, 2017

Photos by: Sean Touton

Yesterday evening, Sean and I decided we wanted to go to Tybee and walk on the beach for a little while. It was absolutely gorgeous! The temperature was amazing and it was not crowded at all.

We are getting ready to go camping and I cannot wait! I want to share with you guys some of the details of how we camp, what goes into planning, etc. You don't really experience fall here, so I am hoping on this trip that we do.

For my outfit, I have been wearing this top all week with my Lilly Pulitzer travel pants for class. It has been super comfy and I look kind of put together (lol). Unfortunately, I couldn't find the exact top, but this one is really close and great quality and a reasonable price! I wore my favorite shoes in the entire world because they literally match almost anything. And last, but not least, I got this skirt almost two years ago at Forever 21, this mini skirt is pretty close!

I hope you all enjoyed!
