This weekend I am traveling out of town for a wedding. Normally when I travel I wear my school sweatshirt and leggings, but this weekend, I am meeting a lot of my boyfriend's family, so I wanted to dress a little nicer. For this outfit I actually ended up digging up a lot of old pieces from the back of my closet (totally proves you don't need to buy new clothes just to look cute). I bought this top at J. Crew a couple years ago (similar here) and have found that it is such a great staple. It is soft and matches so many pieces. My flats were also bought a few years ago (seen first here), but you can find similar ones HERE. The jacket is actually my favorite part of the look. I bought it a while ago and have been wanting to add patches to it for a while. I did a couple last week, but I really want to save the back for unique patches. I travel a lot and was thinking I may add patches from different places I visit to the back. What do you guys think?
An interesting thought for the weekend: I was thinking about how I don't really read magazines anymore. I honestly can't remember the last time I even picked up a magazine to look at clothes. For clothing ideas I mostly read my favorite fashion blogs or look at the new pieces in my favorite stores. Then, for decorating, I usually look at Instagram (or drool over Blair Waldorf's apartment). I wasn't sure if that is everyone or just me, but let me know in the comments what you guys think about this and I'll link below some of my favorite blogs!
Damsel in Dior: I am obsessed with her outfits (especially when she travels) and her house.
Gal Meets Glam: Love seeing her photos when she visits Savannah and currently working on her own dress line. I will totally be buying one when they are released.
Southern Curls and Pearls: One of the first blogs I ever started reading. My favorite are her posts about fitness/workout clothes and her home!
Carly the Prepster: Another blog I have been reading since FOREVER. I love how timeless her outfits are, plus her Instagram videos of Teddy and Hamilton.
